Lisa and I got up fairly early considering we got in late last night. We hit the free breakfast and then headed out to the Winchester Mystery House. It was designed and built by the Winchester Rifle heiress. It is incredible. Absolutely massive and it has more windows than the Empire State building. There are doors upon doors and some that don't lead anywhere or some that lead to a 10 Ft drop off. I've never seen so many fireplaces in one house. There were 4 in one hallway. Anyways, as you can tell, it left quite an impression.
From there, we trekked off to San Francisco to cross the Golden Gate Bridge an take a few photos from the Vista points. Then it was off to Fisherman's Wharf for a really late lunch. We stopped in to get Lisa's early Birthday presents at a store near the Wharf. A Louis Vuitton hand bag and wallet, and a Gucci handbag. Then we stopped in at a tour shop and booked a Wine Tour of Napa and Sonoma Valley tomorrow at 9 AM.
We decided to head back to San Jose after that. On the way back to San Jose, I saw a sign to Stanford University. It was still light out so we decided to head there and check it out. Incredible! I see why it cost so much to go to University in the States. The architecture was breathtaking an we took turns taking pictures. Their sports complexes were massive and looked like they were brand new. Everyone on the campus looked to be in great shape. I didn't see anyone overweight which seemed odd.
We are having an early night tonight because we have to get up early to head into San Fran again where we catch our bus for the wine tour. All in all, a very busy and fun day.
