Since there hasn't been much exciting going on lately, I have decided to offer up a little strategy and tips. This is at the request of a few people who have asked for more of that type of stuff in my blog.
Please keep in mind that this is just what I would do, so if you bust out of a big tournament or go broke because of this information please don't hold me responsible.:)Trapping Early in an online tournament.

Your goal early on is to acquire chips. If you can see flops cheaply with small pairs and suited connectors, they are the hands that are going to pay off huge when they hit. Don't play them aggressively. In fact, you would prefer the image of loose weak or loose tight. Give off the impression that you can be pushed around. That shouldn't be too hard since most of the time the flop won't hit you hard and you should be folding. Look for the aggressive players pushing people around and look to trap them. When the flop does hit you hard you are able to trap the aggressive players. Let them do the betting when you hit trips, flushes or straights. They will keep trying to push you off your hand until it is too late they have lost a pile of chips to you.

You don't want to be trying to win a lot of chips with high pair. Try to win small pots with these by playing them aggressively from the start and then conservatively as the hand goes on. Remember, your good opponents are trying to trap you just like you are trying to trap them.
